The San Antonio Water System is restructuring the way it charges consumers for water.  According to their website, SAWS' goal is to make conservation a priority by:

• "Reducing rates for lower water use while raising rates for higher water use, like heavy summer lawn watering.
• Establishing a tiered rate structure for water supply fee.
• Extending higher seasonal summer rates by two extra months.
• Charging a higher monthly fee for larger water meters."
